Terms of use
Last updated: June 5, 2026
OpenBurnBar is open-source software offered under the AGPL-3.0-only license, plus optional in-app subscriptions and prepaid top-ups billed through Apple, Google Play, or Stripe. By installing or using OpenBurnBar, you agree to the terms below. If you don't, please don't install the software.
1. License — the app
The OpenBurnBar source code is released under the AGPL-3.0-only license. The AGPL terms govern your use, modification, distribution, and network use of the covered source. Historical snapshots that were released under MIT remain under their original terms.
Corresponding source access for OpenBurnBar releases and hosted services is available at /legal/source.
2. License — this website
Content on burnbar.ai (copy, illustrations, generated mockups) is the property of Imagine That AI LLC. You may quote and reference with attribution. You may not reproduce the site in full or use it to imply endorsement.
3. Subscription and top-up terms
- OpenBurnBar offers paid tiers: BurnBar Cloud at US $7.99/month or $79/year, BurnBar Cloud Pro at US $24.99/month or $249/year, BurnBar Ultra at US $59.99/month or $599/year. Exact taxes and local currency pricing are set by the purchase platform.
- Billing, taxes, and currency conversion are handled by Apple, Google Play, or Stripe, depending on where you purchase. We do not see or store payment cards.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled. Manage or cancel in the billing platform where you purchased.
- Refunds are governed by the store or payment platform policy. Confirmed refunds, chargebacks, expirations, and cancellations may revoke the matching entitlement.
- Cloud Pro includes monthly hosted-action and relay-accounting allowances. Extra hosted usage is prepaid through top-ups and remains subject to monthly caps.
- Purchases are bound to your Firebase UID and verified server-side before any hosted capability turns on.
- We may rate-limit hosted refresh, relay, and hosted agent capacity (see the pricing page for current caps).
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) attempt to circumvent the entitlement model or rate limits; (b) use OpenBurnBar's hosted infrastructure to relay traffic that doesn't belong to you; (c) reverse-engineer the JWS verification or App Check chain; (d) use OpenBurnBar to violate any provider's terms of service for the credentials you connect.
5. Trust boundaries
OpenBurnBar reads provider data only with credentials or session material you explicitly provide. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to connect any credential you supply, and for keeping those credentials secret. We will not knowingly process credentials we believe are not authorized by their issuer.
6. Disclaimer of warranty
OpenBurnBar is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Cost numbers are estimates from public vendor pricing tables; we do not warrant accuracy and you should not rely on OpenBurnBar for accounting, tax, billing, or compliance decisions.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Imagine That AI LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of OpenBurnBar — including but not limited to lost profits, business interruption, loss of data, or unexpected vendor charges.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted in the project changelog and reflected in the "last updated" date above.
